‘Corkscrew’ Magazine
| Home | Magazine |
The Society publishes its own bi-monthly magzine ‘Corkscrew’ — named after the Southampton and Dorchester Railway’s nickname — Castleman’s Corkscrew.
The first issues were edited by Colin Stone using a traditional cut-and-paste method. Ken Aveyard now edits the magazine. He originally used a basic word processor, with each pair of facing pages in a separate file. He now uses OpenOffice. Consequently, we can now produce a version in PDF format, which is now available to download. As a bonus, the photos are in colour in the PDF version, whereas they are black-and-white in the printed version.
